"Jaguar" is a fun, little tune, which happens to be in the rather rare time signature of 11/8. It runs for about 5 minutes, 9 times through the form of the tune. There is a few little variations added in to keep it interesting, and to throw you some curve balls along the way.
This pattern is quite basic, and the same as shown in the main video. It's a good place to start if you want to play in 11/8. It's got four markings in the bar, resembling a back-beat type groove. It's also mirrored in the percussion of the track, and it follows the "clave" of the melody closely.
This pattern is a bit more involved, with a few more notes in kick and snare. It still follows the "clave" closely, and build upon the previous beat.
This next beat is is slightly different, as it has (almost) half the notes in the hihat part. Also, the last "back-beat" comes right on the 10th beat, rather than on the sixteenth before as the previous two beats.
